Headquarters
  DETAILS   The Luxembourg physiotherapy association is concerned with all professional matters on behalf of physiotherapists in the country. The association has no headquarter and therefore no staff employees or employed managing director. The association holds monthly executive meetings and furthers liasions with other health care professions and authorities. The association does not hold membership in any trade union.

Physiotherapy Education
  INFORMATION AND NUMBERS   The Luxembourg association does not have an education department. There are no physiotherapy schools or universities in the country so physiotherapy students undergo courses in other Member States. Every year +- 10 students from Luxembourg are graduated in other countries (3-4 years of training). Physiotherapists are however involved in research in Luxembourg. There is no recognition of physiotherapy specialists.

Status of profession
  TITLE AND REGULATIONS ON THE PROFESSION   Professional Title/ Qualification: Masseur - Kinésithérapeute Dipl. The title and the professional activity is protected by the state. The rules of professional conduct are determined directly by the state through national legislation. The physiotherapist must be state registrated and obtain a licence to practice. Luxembourg has established a code of ethics for physiotherapists. The national authority responsible for the physiotherapy profession in Luxembourg is the "Ministère de L'Éducation Nationale" and the "Ministère de la Santé". Employment opportunities cannot be guaranteed.
